BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder has been elected chairman of the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators' Council (SATRC) for the term 2023.
The announcement was made on the 22nd meeting of the SATRC held under the supervision of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunications Community (APT), said a press release on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by heads of telecommunication regulatory bodies of 9 SATRC member countries namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, various levels of government and private officials and Secretary-General of APT and senior officials.
