Armed Police Battalion (APBn) has suspended three of its members who were arrested on Tuesday in connection with Maj (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case and later taken on remand.
They are--APBn assistant sub-inspector Shahjahan and constables Rajib and Abdullah.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Hemayetul Islam, APBn commanding officer, confirmed the news to The Business Post.
The trio were on duty at Baharchhara Police Checkpost in Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive Road where Maj (retd) Sinha was reportedly killed in a police firing on the night of July 31.
A Cox's Bazar court on Tuesday placed the three on seven-day remand each.
