Sinha murder case: Sister seeks to enlist Cox’s Bazar SP Masud as accused

Slain Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan's sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous has applied to a Cox’s Bazar court to include district Police Super (SP) ABM Masud Hossain as an accused in a case over her brother's murder.

The application was filed to the court of Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Faraharound 12pm Thursday.

Senior Advocate Mohammad Mostafa, the plaintiff's lawyer, confirmed the matter at a press briefing.

In the application, Sharmin claimed that SP Masud had been helping the two accused police officers since the beginning.

The court has accepted the application but is yet to give any order.

Major (retd) Sinha was killed in police firing at Baharchhara police check-post on July 31.

Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, elder sister of Sinha, filed a case with Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court on August 5.
