A Cox’s Bazar court on Sunday framed charges against 15 accused, including former officer-in-charge of Teknaf police station Pradeep Kumar Das, in a case for murdering Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan in Teknaf.
Judge Md Ismail of Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judges Court passed the order and fixed July 26, 27 and 28 for recording deposition of witnesses in the case.
Sinha was killed in police firing at Baharchhara police check-post on July 31 last year. His elder sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous filed a case at Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on August 5.
Ex-OC Pradeep surrendered the following day.
