Six buses were set on fire in separate places of the capital on Thursday.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room, Russell Ahmed said the buses were set on fire from I2:35 pm to 2:30 pm at Shahbagh, Zero point, near the Jatiya Press Club, Motijheel, Nayabazar and Khilgaon areas.
Fire fighters doused the fire.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (public relations) Walid Hossain said miscreants might have set fire to the buses cantering by elections to Dhaka-I8 constituency.
