The Sonar Bangla Express train left Dhaka's Kamalapur railway station three hours late due to a technical glitch.
The train was supposed to leave the station at 7am on Thursday, but the non-stop train left after 10am.
A railway official said that the train's departure was delayed due to a non-functioning vacuum. The train left the station once the vacuum problem was solved after several hours of effort.
"The rake of the new Korean coach, which was added on the fifth trip, got stuck on the sixth trip," added the railway official.
Seven of the fourteen coaches of the Sonar Bangla Express train were damaged in the accident on April 16.
