Most sectors led by fuel, engineering and cement ended lower on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
At the end of the day’s trade, the benchmark DSEX index lost 47 points or 0.73 per cent to settle at 6,530.
The Shariah-based DSES index decreased 14 points or 1.03 per cent to 1,443, while the blue-chip index DS30 lost 26 points or 1.09 per cent to 2,436.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 599 crore, down from Tk 964 crore.
Of the issues traded, 195 advanced, 132 declined, and 51 remained unchanged.
