State Reform Student Movement chief coordinator Ahmed Ishak and its economic coordinator Didarul Bhuiyan on Friday joined a tea party hosted by the British High Commission in Dhaka.

Senior governance adviser to the high commission Neil Gandhi and its political councillor attended the meeting, a press release said.

The leaders of the State Reform Student Movement thanked the United Kingdom and other friendly countries for their contribution to Bangladesh's "second independence" achieved under the leadership of students and mass people, reports BSS.

They said the governments of the country want to remain in power at any cost, while there are enough scopes in the constitution for looting and laundering money abroad, they said, seeking cooperation from friendly countries to bring the laundered money back to the country.

Welcoming the people of Bangladesh on their second independence, the high commission assured of providing all-out support in achieving all rights of Bangladesh people in the future.
