Students belonging to Anti-discrimination student movements will sell vegetables and essential commodities at fair prices in Khulna City on Sunday to break the syndicate and bring back comfort among the common people.
A group of students in Khulna will begin selling essential goods including vegetables at fair prices to challenge the price-fixing of the syndicates, reports BSS.
The initiative will begin at the city’s Shibbari Square, Boyra Bazar Intersection, Natun Bazar Mor, Gallamari Hall Road Mor, Daulatpur Bus Stand and BIDC Road near Chitrali market.
The selling will start at 6 am and continue at 11 am and again it will sit at 5 pm and remain till 8 pm in the night, said a programme sheet issued by the students.
A Student leader of anti-discrimination movements sent essential commodities selling programmes to local journalists on Saturday.
Shoppers hoped that the student prices would be cheaper than the market rates which would make the people highly beneficial.
