A man has been lynched on the suspicion of being a thief at Sabujbagh in Dhaka.
Police said local people thrashed Hridoy, 27, and they rescued him in a critical condition.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 3:30am on Friday.
Anwar Hossain, sub-inspector of Sabujbagh police station, said the locals claimed that they beat the man as he was caught while stealing in the area.
