Sylhet has received 228,000 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.
A covered van of Beximco Pharma brought the doses to the Civil Surgeon’s office around 1pm on Sunday.
Sylhet Regional Health Director Dr Razia Sultana and Civil Surgeon Dr Premananda Mondol received the doses.
Mass vaccination will start from Feb 7. Residents of Sylhet can get their jabs at 25 booths in the metropolitan area. There will be 153 vaccination booths in the district.
