A fire that broke out in a textile mill in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on Thursday morning could not be extinguished till the evening.
The fire started in a cotton storage of CRC Textile Mills Limited at Natun Bazar area around 11 am.
Seven fire tending units from Mawna and other adjacent are Fire Service were trying to control the flames until 6pm, said Abdullah Arefin, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service.
No injuries or casualties have been reported and the origin of the fire is yet to be known, he said.
