Country’s newest business and financial daily The Business Post is going to hit the newsstands on July 15 aiming to provide the readers with in-depth analysis of all business and financial news as they unfold.
Over 100 journalists from different national dailies and news agencies, including The Business Standard, New Age, Dhaka Tribune and the UNB joined the financial English daily to give the newspaper a youthful exuberance as well as experience.
The editor of the newspaper, Mohammad Golam Sarwar, has already demonstrated his skill in newspaper management by leading Bengali daily Daily Amader Shomoy to success with his care and precision.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Sarwar, who is widely connected and respected in the field of business for his various other roles as a professional, aims to write a similar success story with The Business Post.
Veteran financial journalist and former president and general secretary of the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) Nazmul Ahsan joined The Business Post as Executive Editor after serving the country’s leading newspapers such as The Financial Express, The Daily Star, New Age and The Dhaka Tribune for around 30 years in different capacities.
Associate Editor Shahnoor Wahid also brought a wide range of experience gained through his services in the editorial section of the country’s top newspapers, including The Daily Star, for decades.
News Editor Azad Majumder most recently worked as the Joint News Editor of New Age. In his distinguished career, Azad also worked for Prothom Alo, Reuters, AFP, Washington Post and Spanish international news agency Agencia EFE.
Young chief reporter Ibrahim Hossain Ovi will lead a vibrant team of Dhaka-based 25 reporters, who are ready to cover everything that matters in the country’s business.
The Business Post will also have separate sections for stock, corporate, technologies, sports and entertainment to keep the reader updated with the latest happenings.
The price of the 16-page fully coloured daily is Tk 10. The inaugural supplement of The Business Post will accommodate scholarly articles from the country’s renowned economists, bankers, financial analysts, educationists and columnists. Besides the inaugural issue on July 15, two more supplements on business, economy and investment will be included with the regular issues of July 18 and July 19 also.
