‘Those who try to tarnish the image of the Biman will suffer strict consequences’: Mahbub

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali on Saturday warned the Biman Bangladesh Airlines officials and the staff that those who try to tarnish the image of the Biman will suffer strict consequences.  

M Mahbub Ali warned this in a discussion meeting and cultural program on the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Biman Bangladesh Airlines headquarter in Kurmitola of Dhaka.

The National flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines arranged the program and unveiled the logo on the occasion of its golden jubilee.   

‘‘Images of the Biman depend on its passengers' carrier standard and safety travel all officers and staffs should remember it; also, our country’s images related with it as a national flag carrier. So those who try to tarnish the image, will not be given any kind of relive’’ M Mahbub Ali said.

He said if all members of the airline try to work together to ensure the quality and safety of passenger service the word nest of peace in the sky will prove to be true.

Civil Aviation and Tourism said a total of 15 ultra-modern and new aircraft joined with the Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Its operation scope and destinations are increasing gradually to domestic and international routes with passengers’ satisfaction. Biman Bangladesh works to turn its passengers’ confidence and loves the brand.

The aviation and tourism sector were most affected by Covid-19; our airlines are going on with this circumstance. But no one was terminated from their job, M Mahbub Ali said.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mokammel Hossain, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, Chairman Sazzadul Hasan were present at the program.
