Armed Police Battalion arrested three people with about 14kg of gold in liquid form worth Tk 8 crore from their possession at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early Tuesday.
They were identified as Riazul Hasan, 46, Md Amin, 35, and Mokarram Khan, 33.
The three arrestees were passengers of Turkish Airlines, Ziaul Hasan, Additional Police Superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBN), confirmed The Business Post.
Riazul, Amin and Mokarram were arrested at 5:30am Tuesday, said Ziaul, adding that they wrapped the gold around different parts of their bodies.
