A court on Sunday sent three people, including two owners of the building in the capital's Gulistan area where an explosion killed 23 people so far, to jail.

The three accused are building owners Wahidur Rahman, his brother Motiur Rahman and sanitary hardware equipment trader Mintu.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Alam passed the order as police produced the three before the court after the end of their two-day remand in the case and pleaded to keep them behind the bars till the end of the probe.

The same court on March 9 had placed them on two-day remand each in the case.

The horrific blast took place in the basement of the "Cafe Queen Tower" building, housing sanitary hardware stores around 4.50 pm on March 7, instantly killing around 10 people and injuring many more.
