Three family members, including a child, received burn injuries in a fire at a tin-shed house in the capital's Mohammadpur area on early Saturday.
The victims have been identified as Md Sohel, 35, his wife Laboni Akhtar Hawa, 25, and their 2-year-old son Mosalin.
The victims were rescued and admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
The fire service said the incident took place at around 3:00am adding that the fire originated from a mosquito coil.
Mahfuz Riben, duty officer at the fire service headquarters, said that upon receiving the news, three units of Mohammadpur fire station rushed to the spot, and rescued the victims.
Doctors at the hospital said Sohel suffered 75 per cent burn injuries, while Laboni suffered 30 per cent and Mosalin 80 per cent.
