Three teenagers have drowned and another is missing while taking a swim in a river in Gazipur.
The incident happed in of Gazipur Sadar upazila’s Panshail area on Monday.
The deceased are Richi Akhter, 15, Maya Akhter, 14, and Irene Akhter, 14, while the missing is Ria Akhter, 14.
Locals and members of Gazipur fire service said, 5-6 teenagers went to take bath in the river at around 12:00pm when the three drowned.
Members of Gazipur fire service diving team managed to recover the bodies of three teenagers after two hours of effort.
However, one still remains missing, they said.
