Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Wednesday urged the foreign-friendly countries to continue their cooperation so that Bangladesh can face the challenges of LDC graduation.

He made the call while meeting with the South Korean Ambassador in Dhaka Park Young Sik, the Swedish Ambassador in Dhaka Alexandra Berg Von Linde and the Swiss Ambassador in Dhaka Reto Renggli separately at the Commerce Ministry in the city, said a press release.

During the meetings, they discussed various issues, including infrastructure development, communication, health and education.

Tipu said under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved unprecedented development in all fields, including communication, infrastructure, health and education.

"Many mega projects have been implemented. The transition from LDC to developing country will take effect from 2026. As a result, Bangladesh will get some opportunities as well as some challenges," he added.

Pointing out that the government is preparing to face these challenges, Tipu Munshi called upon foreign-friendly countries to continue their cooperation.
