Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that taxpayers who will file their income tax return online for the first time in the 2020-21 financial year will be given a tax rebate of Tk 2,000.
He said that this facility will be being given to make online income tax return filing and tax payment popular.
Finance minister said this in his budget speech on Thursday.
He further said that in order to popularize filing of income tax returns online and paying taxes, He hoped this will expedite the digital transformation process of the Income Tax Department.
