Train operation between Dhaka and the country’s northern districts resumed around 9am — one hour after Jamuna Express’ engine went out of order at Joydebpur station in Gazipur on Saturday.
Rezaul Karim, station master of Joydebpur station, confirmed the development, saying that train communication between Dhaka and northern districts was restored after the engine was removed.
Earlier, train services came to a halt as the engine of Dhaka-bound Jamuna Express from Jamalpur’s Dewanganj went out of order around 8am.
