Truck-bike collision leaves 2 dead on 300-ft Road

Two people were killed and another was injured in a collision between a motorbike and a truck on 300-ft Road under Khilkhet police station of Dhaka early Friday.

One of the deceased was identified as Md Sajeeb Hossain, 35, son of Nabab Miah of Nawab Katara under Bangshal police station in Dhaka.

The injured Deen Mohammad, 35, is son of Motaher Hossain of Sadar upazila of Faridpur. He lives in Jinjira area of Dhaka’s Keraniganj.

Khiltkhet police station’s Sub-Inspector Hafizur Rahman said the accident happened around 3:45am when the bike carrying the trio and the truck collided on the 300-ft road, leaving the unidentified man dead on the spot and the two critically injured.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where injured Sajeeb succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at 7am, he said, quoting the physicians.

Injured Deen Mohammad was undergoing treatment, he added.
