Miscreants set a truck on fire on Bangabandhu Bridge West Link Highway, at Jhaoil Overbridge in Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj district, Thursday morning during the ongoing 48-hour blockade called by BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties.
Abdul Quader Jilani, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station, said a group of miscreants intercepted the poultry feed-carrying truck from Rajshahi at 7am and set it on fire.
On information, police rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of local people.
Besides, picketers also vandalised a number of vehicles on the highway early in the morning.
