A biker and his co-rider were killed when a bus hit the motorcycle in the Baniachara precinct of Cox's Bazar's Chakaria upazila.
The accident occurred at around 10am on Wednesday along the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ismail Siddiki and Arman Shakil, residents of Bandarban's Lama upazila's Faitong area.
Imran Chowdhury of Chiringa Highway Police Station, said a Cox's Bazar-bound bus of Greenline Paribahan hit the motorcycle and left the two dead on the spot.
Police seized the bus but the driver fled the scene.
Legal proceedings are underway, he said.
