Two people including a doctor were killed and three others injured in a collision among a pickup van, a CNG run auto rickshaw and an Easy Bike in Shaistaganj Upazila in the district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Dr Dipankar Poddar, a child disease specialist at Habiganj Sadar Hospital and Julhash Uddin, an inhabitant in Mymensingh district. Dr Dipankar was an inhabitant in Madhobpur Upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Shaistaganj Thana Ajoy Chandra Dev said the accident occurred on Kolimnagar on Shaistaganj-Habiganj Bypass road at around 11 am. Dipankar and Julhash died on the spot.
Injured people were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
