Two persons were killed and another one was injured in a collision between two vans on the Panchagarh-Tetulia highway on Wednesday night, police said on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Rubel, 25, son of Kalu Mia of Kalandiganj Boalmari, and Swapan, 22, son of Anwar Hossain of the upazila's Phultala area.
The accident occurred in the Buraburi area of Panchagarh's Tetulia upazila.
"A Panchagarh-bound van hit a pick-up van after its driver lost control of the vehicle. The collision left two persons dead on the spot," said Abu Sayem, officer-in-charge of Tetulia model police station.
"The injured person has been admitted to a local hospital," he said, adding that a probe "is underway".
