Two persons were arrested for possessing fake currency of Tk 20 lakh at the capital’s Jatrabari area on Monday night.
The arrestees are Monara Begum and Md Rasel. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Wari division), Azharul Islam Mukul, confirmed the matter.
He said that, on a tip off, detective branch of police conducted a raid in Ekta Fruit Market of Kajla area on Monday around 7:30pm and managed to arrest the duo.
