Two people were killed and another was injured as a bus rammed into a motorcycle in the capital’s Bangla Motor area Thursday (today) morning.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Refatul Islam, assistant commissioner of DMP Ramna (traffic) zone, said a bus of Bihanga Paribahan hit a motorcycle at around 11:45 am, leaving two people dead on the spot.
The witnesses said the speeding bus of Bihanga Paribahan hit the motorcycle first; on impact, the driver and his pillion fell in front of the bus.
Later, attempting to leave the spot, the bus ran them over, said the witnesses, adding that a pedestrian also got severely injured in the incident.
Police later seized the bus and detained its driver.
