Two more Bangladeshi expatriates died on Monday from Covid-19 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They were undergoing treatment at two separate hospitals in the city of Jeddah.
The deceased were Ismail Hossain Selim (45) and Selim Uddin (48). Ismail hailed from Chaprashi village of Begumganj upazilla of Noakhali, while Selim Uddin was from the Amirabad union under Sonagazi upazilla of Feni.
Ismail was admitted to King Abdulaziz Hospital with fever, runny nose, coughing and breathing difficulties. He was then diagnosed with Covid-19. Ismail was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital as his health conditions deteriorated. He died there.
Meanwhile, Selim Uddin was admitted to a local hospital of Jeddah with fever, runny nose, and coughing. He died in that hospital.
According to the KSA Ministry of Health, the Kingdom has a total of 17,522 confirmed coronavirus cases and a death toll of 139 people. Of the deceased, 40 were Bangladeshi expatriates.
So far, 2,357 people recovered from coronavirus in the kingdom.
