As the ongoing second wave of Covid-19 is sweeping multiple countries around the world, the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the United Arab Emirates extended flight suspensions till July 21 on 14 countries including Bangladesh.
The ban was earlier imposed till July 7. However, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government made a new decision considering the current Covid-19 situation.
Other countries covered by the extended sanctions are — India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Vietnam, Nigeria and South Africa.
Cargo flights, as well as commercial and chartered flights, would be exempted from the restrictions.
