The United Kingdom has refused Sheikh Hasina's request for political asylum, according to a report of Indian media Anandabazar published Monday.
It further mentions that Sheikh Hasina - who resigned from the position of prime minister of Bangladesh - did not seek any political asylum in India. Sources say she is supposed to leave for London on Monday night.
However, Britain has reportedly rejected Hasina's request for political asylum.
The former prime minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina had landed at the IAF's Hindon Airbase near Delhi, the capital of India, around 5:30pm.
