For the first time in the history of Bangladesh aviation, US-Bangla Airlines has added two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet in a span of 30 minutes.
With the addition of two Boeing 737s, the number of US-Bangla Airlines aircraft currently stands at 16, a press release said on Saturday.
This is the highest fleet among the private airlines of Bangladesh. Two Boeing 737-800 aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday, November 26 at 11:00 PM and 11:30pm
Captain Lutfor Rahman, Director, Business Development, US-Bangla Airlines, officially received the two newly added aircraft.
The two newly added aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport directly from Jordan. The newly added Boeing 737-800 aircraft has 189 economy class seats. US-Bangla is also going to start flights from Dhaka to Colombo, Sharjah, and Delhi route with this aircraft.
US-Bangla Airlines plans to add Airbus 330-200/300 aircraft to operate flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina in June next year, the press release added.
Senior official of Civil Aviation Authority and US-Bangla Airlines were present at the Boeing 737-800 aircraft receiving program at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
