US-Bangla Airlines, one of the country's private carriers has decided to increase its flight frequency on Dhaka-Chennai-Dhaka and Dhaka-Male-Dhaka routes.
From March 13, the airliner will operate daily flights instead of the current five weekly flights to Chennai in India, a press release said on Tuesday.
The carrier has also decided to operate four weekly flights from March 16, instead of the existing three, to Maldives’ capital Male as air travellers’ demand has been amplified lately.
US-Bangla Airlines will operate 164-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these routes, the release added.
Currently, US-Bangla operates international flights to Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore inhabited by expatriate Bangladeshis, Chennai, and Guangzhou in China.
US-Bangla is also planning to operate flights to Colombo, Delhi, Abu-Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Medina soon.
