The fire that broke out at a slum in Dhaka's Uttara area on Saturday evening has been brought under control.
“Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 4:58pm,” said the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Six firefighting units rushed to the spot at Uttara Sector 8 and tamed the blaze around 5:50pm, it said.
No casualty was reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
