The registration for getting Covid-19 vaccine has opened for school students aged between 12 and 17 with their birth certificates.

The students whose names have been sent to the ICT Division via the Education Ministry from the educational institutions will be able to register for inoculation through the Surokkha app or the Surokkha website from Friday, confirmed Directorate General of Health Services spokesperson Dr Nazmul Islam.

They will be able to make the registration only after the ICT Division inputs their names, he said.

Registration cannot be done without following the process and trying only with birth certificates, the DGHS spokesperson said.

On Thursday, the government administered Pfizer doses to 120 students in Manikganj on a trial basis.
