Alauddin Ahmed, valiant freedom fighter and father of Dhaka south city word no-26 Awami League (AL) leader Abab Ahmed Rezvi Rinku, passed away today. He was 73.
Alauddin breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a city hospital this morning, reports BSS.
He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death, read a Awami League press release.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Alauddin. In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
