The validity of all temporary National Identity (NID) cards which were valid for two years from the date of issue has been extended for an indefinite period.
All types of temporary national identity cards can now be used as valid, read a public notice issued by Bangladesh Election Commission.
All the service providers can check the customer's card from the NID system and provide the necessary services. It is requested that the service recipient should not be deprived of any service due to the tenure.
Also, those who have the expiry date mentioned on the back of the National Identity card can register on NID Service (https://services.nidw.gov.bd) and download their card for free and use it by printing and laminating.
