International Standard University (ISU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan on Saturday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
After laying the wreath, the VC stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation, reports BSS.
Later, he offered munajat for eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.
A special prayer was also offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.
The VC also signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.
Acting Treasurer of International Standard University (ISU) HTM Quader Newaz, Registrar Faizullah Kaushik, Chairperson of Business Administration Department Dr Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Chairperson of Textile Engineering Department Prof Engineer Abdul Based Mia and Chairperson of English Department Dr Abul Kalam Azad, among others, were present.
