A man has died in a fire from a gas line leak in Dhaka’s Wari that injured five people last week.
The deceased was identified as Md Sohel, 35. He was an employee of Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC).
The doctor at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) declared him dead at 4:45pm on Monday (June 12). The rest are undergoing treatment.
The incident took place on Tipu Sultan Road in Wari around 2:30am on June 6.
The other injured were identified as security guard Md Helal, 40, who suffered 10 per cent burn, Abdur Rashid, 65, with 7 per cent burn, Mamun Builders' project inspector Mamun, 50, with 7 per cent burn, and DPDC worker Anarul, 21, with 22 per cent burn.
