Engineer AKM Shahid Uddin, deputy managing director of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA), was appointed as its managing director (MD).
The new MD was appointed on Thursday afternoon following the resignation of Taqsem A Khan from the position of the MD today, reports BSS.
Earlier, Taqsem A Khan’s contractual appointment was cancelled.
The Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry issued a notification in this regard.
Taqsem was appointed as WASA’s MD in October, 2009 and his tenure was extended for seven times.
