The Westin Dhaka & Sheraton Dhaka along with OHSOGO.com celebrated International Women’s Day on Thursday at the Garden Kitchen Restaurant of Sheraton Dhaka.
The event featured a series of engaging activities and discussions that highlight the importance of gender equality and empowerment, and provide a platform for employees to share their experiences and insights, read a press release.
During the event, Mohd. Noor Ali, Honourable Managing Director - Unique Group, Shakawath Hossain - Chief Executive Office, Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC, Stephane Masse - General Manager The Westin Dhaka & Sheraton Dhaka, Zahidul Islam Rony - Managing Director & COO, Believe Int. Prt.Ltd. & Ohsogo, Ayesha Fariha barrister at law and an academic guidance tutor & lecturer at London College of Legal Studies South, Shahin Afroze- ex-department head of Bakery and Pastry, National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI), Ms Merina Khondoker- ex department head of Food and Beverages production, National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI) were present and they shared a few words of inspiration for all the female associates.
Unique Group Managing Director Mohd. Noor Ali said in the event, “We believe that empowering women is not just a one-day event but a continuous effort. Never be dependent on anyone, and I want you all to uplift each other and to stand on your own feet.”
International Women's Day, celebrated annually on March 8, is a global day dedicated to honouring the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is also a call to action for accelerating gender parity and promoting women's rights.
