Newly-appointed Director General of the Health Services (DGHS) Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam on Sunday said that he will try to do better in coronavirus situation.
He came up with the remarks while speaking to reporters after paying a courtesy call on the health minister at the secretariat after taking charge on Sunday.
After taking charge as the director general, he went to the minister's room at 12:45pm.
Then, he went to the room of secretary to the Health Service Department around 2pm.
While responding to reporters, the DG said that the minister gave him some directions. He will also give more directions. The minister could not complete the meeting with him as he was in a rush.
“I will brief reporters officially once I understand the whole thing,” he said.
