Writer Khurshid Alam’s death anniversary observed

The 12th death anniversary of Md Khurshid Alam, a noted fiction writer and former additional secretary of the government, was observed on Wednesday.

On the occasion, family members of the deceased arranged various programmes, including distribution of foods among orphans and special prayers at Shariatpur Hafejia Madrasa, said a press release.

Khurshid Alam was a BCS (admin) cadre of 1982 batch.

Having served in different ministries in his distinguished career, Khurshid wrote 19 books, including ‘Shet-Kopoter Dana’, ‘Hridoy Nodi Roktopath’, ‘Digomborir Prem Nei’, ‘Vangoner Podaboli’, ‘Poribesh, Shomaj O Shamajik Bikas’, ‘Unoshotturer Koishor’ and ‘Shikkoker Shomudro Jatra’.
