A fire broke out at a yarn factory in Mirbagh near Dhaka's Hatirjheel area at around 1:45pm on Saturday.
Upon information, two fire-fighting units rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control.
Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Control Room confirmed the matter.
Cause of fire and extent of damage could not be immediately ascertained, he said.
