YJFB gets new executive committee for 2022-24

The Youth Journalists' Forum of Bangladesh (YJFB), a non-political and non-profitable organization, has appointed a new executive committee for the 2022-24 tenure.

A total of 51-member committee, led by Tanvir Aladin (from Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha-BSS) as president, and Mohiuddin Kader (also from BSS) as general secretary, was announced at a Dhaka office after a discussion among its members on Wednesday.

Among others, Nirmal Kumar Barman of Shomoyer Alo was appointed as organizing secretary, Md Israfil Hossain of Jagonews24.com as office secretary, and Rafikul Islam of The Business Post as publicity secretary have been selected in the executive committee. 

“The executive committee will be effective from Wednesday. We formed the YJFB with full-time working journalists in 2012 to further improve the professional quality of journalism and to maintain good communication with our members,” Mohiuddin Kader stated.

He explained that they arranged a good number of programmes like seminars and trainings for journalists and, also took part in different social activities since the organization inception. 

“We would like to further improve professionalism, build up more connectivity among youth journalists in the country in future,” he also hoped.
