A young man disappeared in the Khilgaon area of the capital after falling into a drain Tuesday morning.
The incident took place next to the North Basabo Jhilpar Mosque in Khilgaon.
Abdul Mannan, senior station officer of Khilgaon fire service station, confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
He said divers from the fire service headquarters was conducting a rescue drive there.
Rescue operations are still underway as the missing person of around 20 years of age has not been found yet, the fire official added.
Locals said the person went to pick up a bottle from the drain when he fell down and went missing. His identity has not been confirmed.
