Police arrested a man from Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday morning for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on Facebook messenger.
The arrestee is Sourav Dutt, son of Sukku Ranjan Dutt of Baniabari in Hosendi East area of Hosendi union of Pakundia upazila.
AKM Lutfar Rahman, Acting UNO of Pakundia upazila, said Sourav made derogatory comments about the Prophet on Messenger in a conversation and the message went viral, creating a tense situation in the area.
On information, police arrested him from Kishoreganj town.
