Zafrullah attends Nasim's janaza

Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, participated in the namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) of former health minister Mohammad Nasim today.

Zafrullah tested negative for coronavirus on Saturday after undergoing treatment for 20 days.

Veteran leader of Bangladesh Awami League Mohammad Nasim was laid to rest on Sunday morning at the Banani graveyard in the capital, after being awarded a guard of honour.

His first namaz-e-janaza, attended by over 500 people who came from his constituency in Sirajganj, was held at 9:37 am at Sobhanbagh Jame Mosque in Dhanmondi.

After the second namaz-e-janaza at 10:25 am at Banani Jam-e-mosque in the capital, Nasim was laid to eternal rest around 10:55 am. It was attended by hundreds of AL leaders and activists maintaining physical distance amid Covid-19 threat.
