Zero Covid-19 deaths in Bangladesh in last 24hrs

Bangladesh registered zero Covid-19 related deaths and 262 new infections in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.

According to the latest data, the total number of fatalities remained static at 28,016 while the positivity rate was recorded 1.22 per cent on Thursday.

After adding the fresh cases, the total caseload jumped to 15,43,491, said a regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing samples at 848 laboratories across the country.

Bangladesh has so far tested 1,10,62,902 samples.

Meanwhile, 287 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24-hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,43,491.

Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 last year and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 the same year.

Meanwhile, Global Covid-19 cases reached 268,226,835 while registering 5,298,095 deaths till Thursday afternoon, reports Worldometer.
