Bangladesh wins 4 prizes at Int’l Blockchain Olympiad

Bangladesh has won four prizes, including one silver prize, in the ‘International Blockchain Olympiad Award 2021’.

The awards were handed over on Sunday night at the concluding function of the three-day IBCOL 2021 at the ICT Tower at Agargaon in Dhaka, said a press release.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi attended the function as chief guest while State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as a special guest. The event was jointly organised by the ICT Division of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Computer Council, Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh and Technohaven Company Limited.

Prizes figuring more than $40,000 were awarded to the winners. Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards were given as thematic prizes along with eight categories of prizes. In the Identity and Privacy category, Hong Kong’s “HelpProof” won the gold medal and got $10,000.

Bangladesh’s “Hopefully Hypothetically Theoretically” was awarded a silver medal in the FinTech category and received $7,500, and Vietnam’s “VifaChain” got the bronze medal in the Supply Chain category and received $5,000.
